Black Panther: Wakanda Forever should be hitting cinemas before the end of this year, without any further delays.
The MCU sequel restarted it production which was delayed because of Covid after another week-long delay it was finally wrapped up in march 2022.
Also, the break from November 2021 to January 2022 was given to Letitia Wright to get recover from onset injury.
About the release date:
The release of the movie sequel name black Panther: Wakanda Forever was been confirmed back in May 2021 but due to constant delay the movie sequel will be hitting cinema in November 2022.
The sequel will be a tribute to late star Chadwick Boseman, his death was the tragedy for everyone as no one has expected to work on sequel without him.
“We honored him by committing ourselves to the story that he started, the legacy that he started with this franchise”.
“And we just committed every day to working hard, no matter what circumstances we faced – and we came together as a team, and we poured everything into this movie.” ,says Wright in May 2022
Black Panther: Wakanda forever cast:
It’s a big question for the fans as who will be back for sequel of the movie for lead role. It is confirmed that the movie will be in honour of legacy of Chadwick Boseman and it is also confirmed that there will be no recasting for the same role. And thankfully there is no plans to use a “digital double” in the sequel. “There’s only one Chadwick and he’s not with us”, said Marvel Studio EVP Victoria Alonso.
Kevin Feige (President of Marvel Studios) says “Our king, unfortunately, had died in real life, not just in fiction, and we are taking a little time to see how we return to history and what we do to honor this chapter of what has happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so terrible, really”
Kevin further said “Wakanda is a place to further explore with characters and different subcultures. This was always and initially the primary focus pf the next story. We’re not going to have a CG Chadwick and we’re not recasting T’Challa.”
As per other members of the cast like Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett, and Danny Sapani are all reprising their roles in the sequel as Nakia, M’Baku, Okoye, Ramonda, and M’Kathu, respectively.
It was reported that Duke will be given “Expanded role” in the sequel, but report is yet to be confirmed by Marvel.
Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta is set to play one of the Villains in the sequel.
It is not confirmed if Daniel Kaluuya will return as W’kabi, but Martin Freeman will return as CIA Agent Everette K. Ross.
Behind the scenes, Ryan Coogler is returning to write and direct Black Panther: Wakanda forever, and he’s bringing back the original creative cast.
About the plot:
As we know for sure that role of T’Challa is not been recreated or been there in movie sequel, the movie will continue to explore the world of Wakanda and beyond.
Even though there no exact clarity about actual plot is been announced, but still, we can assume that story will revolving around knowing the “Mythology” of Wakanda more deeply.
But it is confirmed that Wakanda forever will feature the aquatic villain Namor, with official plot details recently emerging from production weekly.
The Kevin Feige had given a hint that he wanted to explore more of Wakanda history in the sequel, so we could expect to see more of historical flashbacks to explore how Wakanda became the place we saw in the movie.
“Towards the end of the movie, T’Challa takes the herb again and encounters his father, where he’s like, Hey man. we’ve kind of screwed up, and I want to change it”, he told Entertainment Weekly way back in March 2019.
