Actor Abhishek Banerjee and actor Barkha Singh will be seen tickling the funny bone of many by starring in the upcoming web-series ‘The Great Weddings of Munnes’. It is slated to release on August 4, on Voot Select,created by talented Bollywood director, Raaj Shaandilyaa and directed by Sunil Subramani.

The ten-episode series is based on the simple premise of Munnes’ innocent pursuit to find his happily ever after. He falls in love with the stunning ‘sarvgunnsampurn’ Mahi and cannot believe his luck when she makes the first move.
After entertaining the audiences in movies like Street and Bala, Abhishek Banerjee is all set to spread his charm with his upcoming series, The Great Wedding of Munnes.Â
He will be featuring opposite popular digital celebrity Barkha Singh.In the trailer that was released recently, Abhishek tickles your funny bone with his humour and wit as a man who is trying all ways to get married. And to his surprise, he lands up with the beautiful Barkha Singh, and the story furthers on with interesting twists and turns.Â

Abhishek said, “While OTT offers an excellent platform to experiment, a show like this and a character so unique are truly rare. I was eager to do a comedy and remember laughing uncontrollably during the script narration and instantly knew I was going to be a part of this show. On the film front, Abhishek will next be seen in Nazarandaaz, Bhediya among others. He is expected to have an interesting lineup of about seven films from different genres.
