Spanish League giants FC Barcelona have signed the France defender Jules Kounde from Sevilla in the pre-season transfer window.
Jules Kounde has decided to Join the Spanish club FC Barcelona from Sevilla. On Thursday, both the clubs agreed to the transfer of the French center-back. However, the signing amount has not been disclosed by any clubs.

Although, according to Spanish media and the transfer market, a deal worth 50 million euros ($50.7 million) that includes an additional 10 million euros in bonuses has been reached between the two clubs.
Addition of players to the Barcelona club
After bringing in Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, Raphinha from Leeds, along with AC Milan’s Franck Kessie and Danish central defender Andreas Christensen from Chelsea on free transfers, it will mark Barca’s fifth pre-season signing.
Blaugrana won the agreement from Chelsea by the barest of margins. According to reports, Chelsea was also interested in signing this young French defender.
However, in the end, Barca triumphed in the race after reaching an extra sum of the expense compared to Chelsea. Also, Xavi’s involvement in the deal played a role in bringing the French defender to Camp Nou.
History of Jules Kounde:
Jules Kounde started his career with the French club Bordeaux, and in 2019 he joined Sevilla. During his time with Sevilla, he won the Europa League in his first season in Spain. The French defender has also represented his national side eleven times.
Currently, Jules is recovering from a groin injury. He had already taken surgery last month for the groin injury, and medical experts have advised him to take a few weeks of rest.
However, if things goes as expected, a former Bordeaux footballer is expected to play for the Barcelona club this season.
