An attack by a leopard on a 4-year-old girl has resulted in her death in the Nilgiris. K.Saridha, the four-year-old victim, was the daughter of two Assamese immigrants who were working as domestic workers in the state of Assam.
Sardinha, according to the Forest Department officials, strayed away from the original estate after coming across wild animals, primarily leopards, which prompted her to leave the estate.
Trying to escape, she wandered into the woods and lost her way as she tried to find a way out. Despite her best efforts, Saridha was unable to save herself from the attack of the Leopard.
It is reported that the wild animal chased the girl for a short distance until Saridha’s parents somehow managed to chase it away.
Even though we rushed her to the Government Medical College and Hospital in the Udagamandalam region, Saridha lost her life.
The area where the incident took place was covered with pugmarks that looked identical to the leopard marks found in the region where the incident took place.Â
It has been reported that the area in the Nilgiris will be monitored to ensure that incidents like these do not occur again in the future.
