People who believe in black magic will never earn the trust of the people, PM Modi slammed the Congress
PM Modi on Wednesday slammed the Congress for wearing black clothes to parliament on August 05. Taking a jibe at Congress he said that those who believe in black magic will never earn the trust of people. Â
He further added that there was an attempt to propagate black magic as those people are filled with negativity. They think that by wearing black clothes their period of downfall will end.
Congress staged a protest on August 05 against price rises, rise in GST rates on essential items and inflation. They protested by wearing black clothes to parliament. All the leaders of Congress wore black clothes.Â
Senior Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi were also seen wearing black. Congressmen were seen wearing black shirts, kurtas, and scarves while Congresswomen were seen wearing black sarees or suits. Â
Last month the Central Govt had hiked the rates of GST on essential items. LPG rates have also been fluctuating. The government had also decided to put GST on pre-packaged food items. Pulses, cereals like rice, wheat, flour and other such items, weighing below 25 kg or 25 liters, attracted GST at the rate of 5 percent.
The statements from PM Modi came at an inauguration event in Panipat. He had gone there to inaugurate a 900-crore second-generation ethanol plant.Â
Freebies
He also hinted at political parties offering freebies to garner votes and said that such schemes put a lot of pressure on the taxpayer. He said such things will only do a disservice to the nation and hamper investments in new technology.
Recently Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced free bus rides for women above the age of 60. AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) believes Yogi Adityanath is adopting the ‘Kejriwal model’ despite the Prime Minister’s discouragement.Â
AAP claims that a ‘rebellion’ is brewing in Uttar Pradesh’s Yogi Sarkar. Modi’s Govt has supported a PIL seeking a stop to the parties promising freebies to win elections. Centre also believes that such things are economic disasters.
