Today Swarajya Mahotsav celebrate by the Office of District Women and Child Development Officer, Mumbai on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Â In this Swarajya Mahotsav event, the collector of Mumbai Rajeev D. Nivatkar was also present as chief guest.
As part of this festival, a Tiranga rally was conducted as part of this festival in the city today. The purpose behind this was to preserve the memory of the warriors who participated in the freedom struggle. To know about the known and unknown heroes and heroines of the struggle.
At the same time, the aim was also to get information about the various schemes of the central and state governments for women and children. The people are unaware of it so from this event and rally people will be able to get to know about the government schemes said Shobha Shelar, Women Child Development Officer, Mumbai Division.
The journey started from Mumbai Collectorate, traveled through various parts of the city, and reached Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Railway Station. The children participating in the rally performed a traditional dance, Lezim, and acted the drama of freedom fighters like Rani Laxmi Bai on this occasion.
After that journey, the rally will go from the collector’s office in Mumbai to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Then it will go and end in the office of Women and Child Development in Dongri. As the government organized this event it will get a boost and make people aware of the schemes.
