The Hemant Soren government in Jharkhand has successfully proved its majority in the assembly.
Hemant had been facing allegations of MLA poaching in the state. However, he called out for a trust vote amid the allegations and won.
None of the MLAs of the alliance (JMM-led UPA) voted against the ruling government.

Azad’s maidan rally.
Former Chief Minister and member of Congress Ghulam Nabi Azad has addressed a maiden rally in Jammu and Kashmir. He has recently resigned from Congress. In the Valley, he stressed the idea behind his new party that would bring together the people of the two provinces of the Union Territory.
They would prioritise the restoration of statehood and the protection of the rights of locals to land and employment.

Rahul Gandhi’s rally
Rahul Gandhi (Congress leader) carried out a rally in Ahmedabad amidst the upcoming elections in Gujarat. He made a list of long promises to the people of Gujarat while addressing the congress “Sankalp Rally’ at the Sabarmati riverfront in Ahmedabad.
He promised to provide a loan waiver of up to Rs 3 lakh to farmers of Gujarat, an LPG cylinder at Rs 500 instead of Rs 1,000, free electricity to farmers, and up to 300 units of free power to general consumers if his party comes to power in Gujarat.
Recently over a major jolt to the party, Vishwanathsinh Vaghela (Gujarat Youth Congress president) resigned from the congress.
Hemant alleged that the Gandhi family has a rooted control over the functioning of the party, and they allow the seats of posts in exchange for money.

Nitish’s foremost visit (since leaving the NDA) to the capital, resulted in a meeting with congress leader Rahul Gandhi. As per the sources, Nitish had planned to meet Sonia Gandhi, but couldn’t as she was out of the country.

Kejriwal’s meet-up with M.K Stalin
Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi Chief Minister) met with M.K. Stalin (Tamil Nadu Chief Minister) to give bank debit cards to the students at the inauguration ceremony of the “Innovation Girl” program.
The event was held at Bharathi Women’s College Campus, in Chennai.
