A professional dancer was raped by her friend at a hoaxed dance audition said police on Sunday. The victim was a 37-year-old professional dancer who decided to come to a hotel at Gurugram for a Dance Audition.

Gurugram: A 37-year-old woman was raped by her friend in December 2021, in a hotel in Gurugram. The woman said, “In December 2021, Ashish called me to Lemon Tree Hotel in Sector 29 for the hoaxed dance audition and raped me.
He also filmed the act and had physical relations with me several times,” the woman in her complaint reported, “he threatened to kill me when I resisted and after a long period, I decided to break my silence and approach the police for help.”
Police on the case
According to the police, the woman said that she knew the accused since 2021 during a dance performance and said that she was in touch with him since then. And that the accused tricked her by saying that he would get her a chance in movies and serials.
Station House Officer of Sector 9 Rakesh Kumar said, “An FIR has been filed against the accused and the action will be taken soon according to the law”.
