NEW DELHI: A video of a boy and girl arguing about the price of a T-shirt in Delhi Metro has gone popular on social media. The video was initially shared on Twitter a few days ago and now has approximately 25 million views. However, some users observed that the video may have been fabricated.
According to the footage, the altercation between the boy and the girl began after the boy insulted the girl about the T-shirt she had purchased. In the footage, the girl is seen slapping the boy many times after several disputes. The boy initially inquired about the pricing, to which the girl responded that she purchased it from Zara for Rs 1,000.
The phrases “Mummy Ko Bolungi Main” and “Tere Jaisa Ladka Kisiko Na Mile” has garnered over a quarter million views on Twitter, leading some to speculate that it may have been staged.
It appears from the sporadical conversation that the conflict began when the boy denigrated a T-shirt the girl had purchased. “I purchased it at Zara for Rs. 1,000,” she explains. He reacts, “It doesn’t appear to be worthy of more than Rs. 150.”
In jest, he stated that the T-shirt did not look to cost more than Rs 150. After hearing this, the girl lost her calm and began fighting with the boy. Later, during the verbal exchanges between the two, the girl can be seen on film striking the boy. After being slapped multiple times, the youngster responded. Throughout the whole verbal altercation, no passenger attempted to interfere. Later in the footage, both are seen leaving the train while arguing.
After the video went viral, several people stated that they are a couple, while others who closely listened to the conversation during the fight speculated that they might even be siblings. Many users also saw a ‘scripted’ aspect. After seeing the video, some commenters wrote laughing emojis, while others shuddered at the sight of these adults fighting like cats and dogs. The boy and girl shown in the video have not yet been named.
