On Saturday the court granted bail to B. S. Yeddyurappa in a land denotification case. The case was filed by Vasudeva Reddy, a resident of Bangalore city, in the year 2013; he was accused of denotifying of the land which was acquired for an IT park by Karnataka AIDB (Area Industrial Development Board).
The case was filed when B.S.Yeddyurappa was the cm of Karnataka. Earlier, a criminal case was filed against Yeddyurappa after a report by Loka Yukta’s “B” report on the basis of sufficient evidence against him. The case went several years and year after year the process of blaming each other continued until the judgement against the former cm came into picture and he was arrested in the year 2011.
He was present in front of the special court who exclusively deals with criminal cases related to legislation.
The cm’s advocate had given Yediurappa’s medical documents and mentioned his conditions of having bi-lateral pneumonitis, diabetes and hypertension and he was on the best rest for almost 10days as doctor advised.
B.S. Yeddyurappa is the only one who was accused in this case under the prevention act.
