Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi’s Chief Minister) has called a meeting of all MLAs of the Aam Aadmi Party at his residence at 11:00 am on Thursday (August 25, 2022) to discuss the ongoing political situation encircling the Liquor row and central probe agencies raids. It is assumed that BJP has been trying to destroy the roots of the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi Government.Â
A special session of the Delhi legislative assembly was called on August 26 amidst the current political slugfest. The announcement was made after a meeting that discussed the future courses of action.Â
The party came into power in 2020 as they bagged 62 of the 70 assembly seats. The latest discovery that has hit the masses is that BJP has bribed and threatened various members to break the party and join BJP amidst the ongoing Liquor row.
When asked about the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raids, Kejriwal answered that these raids will continue till the Gujarat elections. The elections are scheduled to be held in the year 2022.Â
Kejriwal has further stated that in their meeting they’ll discuss the current scenario and will try to take over the situation which has been drifting from their hands.Â
Manish Sisodia (Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi) who has been dealing with CBI raids in connection to the implementation of the Excise Policy 2021-22 has been bribed. BJP has offered him the position of Chief Minister following which all the cases levied against him would be withdrawn.Â
AAP leader Sanjay Singh claimed that BJP has approached various leaders of AAP (such as Ajay Dutt, Sanjeev Jha, Somnath Bharati, and Kuldeep) with whom they have friendly relations. Singh further stated that they have been offered Rs 20 crore each if they join the BJP and Rs 25 crore if they bring other MLAs with them. According to the officials of AAP, BJP is trying to tear down the party and topple the government by misusing national power and agencies.
Amidst the continuous mocking between the two parties, Sambit Patra (BJP spokesperson) said, “They may have got such offers from liquor mafia, why don’t they tell names of the persons who approached them?
