An abandoned AK-47 rifle and ammunition were found in a small boat loaded with ammunition on August 18th, 2022, off the coast of Raigarh, in Bihar. It has been confirmed that four of the occupants of the ship were saved off the coast of Oman.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis affirmed that the police have ruled out the possibility of a terror connection. In order to determine the exact cause of the incident, search operations have been launched.

There have been a number of boats seized by the coast guard with abandoned AK-47 weapons on board. A search operation was launched by the police in order to investigate what happened. The police have successfully eliminated the terror angle, according to the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis.
Nevertheless, another boat was found miles away with a life jacket and some papers which indicate that the boat is owned by a Dubai agency which may explain why it was found so far away. Depending on the reports you read, four of the passengers in the boat were rescued in Oman, according to a few reports.
In accordance with various sea conditions, it is believed that the boat drifted to the Indian coast as a result of various factors. There is still a long way to go before the government receives the full report.
