Having met on the sets of the 2015 Box-Office Hit, Naanum Dhan Rowdy with Nayanthara as the leading actress and Vignesh Shivan as the Director, the two instantly hit it off. During a press meet, Nayanthara’s co-star Mansoor Ali Khan said that the duo would talk for hours on the film sets.
However, neither of the two had made their relationship official back then. It wasn’t until 2017, that they made their first public appearance as a couple at the SIIMA Award Show in Singapore. There Vignesh won the Best Director for Naanum Dhan Rowdy and addressed Nayanthara as the “best human-being” in his speech.
Coincidentally, Nayanthara also bagged the Best Actress Award. Since then, the publicly adored couple, Nayanthara-Vignesh has been the talk of the town. Through his Instagram posts, Vignesh offers us a glimpse into their beautiful life from visits to Tirupati Temple to vacationing in Dubai.
The couple got engaged on March 25th, 2021 and since then it’s been a journey of love and happiness. The duo rings in their wedding ceremony on 9th June on the auspicious occasion of Ganga Dussehra.
