Actor Alma Hussein, who played the role of Sara on the show, has quit the Star Plus, highest TRP-rated show Anupamaa, after Paras Kalnawat‘s exit from the show.
Alma Hussein shared in an interview that the reason behind her quitting the show was that there was not a strong storyline for her character.
Alma Hussein joined the famous show in May this year. In a recent interview, Alma shared that how she did not see herself growing as an actor on the show. Talking about quitting the show, she said, “Instead of me just standing behind with not much to do I felt it was better to look for something worthwhile. So I spoke to Rajan Shahi sir and discussed with him. He also agreed with me.”
Alma Hussein played the role of Sara in the show. Her character was shown to be Paras’ love interest on the show and after Paras Kalnawat’s exit from the Star Plus’ show, her storyline became weaker. She confirmed that she was no longer a part of the Star Plus show with the publication.
When being asked about her thoughts, the actor said that she is looking for new opportunities in the industry and is also willing to come back to Anupamaa if the makers build her character stronger. Earlier, Paras Kalnawat, who played the role of Samar in the show, quit the show because of a similar reason as Alma as he felt that his character, Samar, did not have much to do on the show.
He chose to end his journey with Anupamaa to participate in the dance show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. In a recent interview, when being asked about his exit from the show, He said, “I am currently a part of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and that is something that actually offended the makers of Anupamaa because Star Plus considers Colors as their rival channel and they don’t get along very well. My growth was completely at halt in this show for the past one year.”
