The first look of the Indian adaptation of The Archies was released on Saturday. Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda looks promising in the role of protagonist Archie Andrews
Zoya Akhtar’s new venture into the Indian adaptation of The Archies has been in the news for the past few months primarily because of its ensemble cast starring mostly star kids.
The first look of the poster was released on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Dripping in nostalgia the teaser shows the characters in bright and colorful apparel dancing and singing in the setting of the 1960s.
The ensemble cast includes Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda in the role of Archie. Late actress Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan in the roles of Betty and Verocina respectively.
The cast also starred Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Medna, and singer-songwriter Aditi Saigal alias Dot in prominent roles.

Agastya Nanda is the son of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter, columnist and author Shweta Bachchan-Nanda and business tycoon and COO of Escorts Limited Nikhil Nanda.
Nikhil Nanda is the son of Ritu Nanda, the daughter of Raj Kapoor, and is, therefore, first cousins with actors Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma, and Kareena Kapoor.
Being born into two of the most famous families in Bollywood Agastya had a keen interest in films unlike his sister Navya Naveli Nanda, who chose a different path than most star kids and started her entrepreneurial venture with her healthcare brand Aara Health. Agastya attended Sevenoaks School in Kent, London.
Taking to Instagram director Zoya Akhtar shared the official teaser of The Archies, captioned, “Grab your gang ’cause the Archies are coming soon on @netflix_in!”
Sharing the official poster Akhtar wrote, “Get ready to take a trip down memory lane ’cause The Archies is coming soon only on @netflix_in”
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram and shared the teaser and poster of the upcoming musical-drama with a heartfelt caption for his beloved grandson, “…. another SONrise .. my GrandSON ..all the blessings Agastya .. love you”.

One of the highly anticipated projects by Zoya Akhtar, The Archies is an Indian adaptation of the popular American reads post world war II, Archie comics. The film is being produced by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, under Tiger Baby Films. The film will stream on Netflix in 2024.
