Akshay Kumar says there is no use in making legacies, one should work hard to earn the respect they deserve.
Akshay Kumar has two movies lined up to blast the box office such as <a href="https://<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aQF4zbOKoEY" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen>Raksha Bandhan on August 11 and Ram Setu near Diwali. Akshay’s third movie of the year didn’t do very well in the theatres which were Samarth Prithviraj.
An old interview with Akshay Kumar talked about how redundant is the concept of legacy according to him. Khiladi Bahiya said there’s no sense in making legacies.

Akshay started his acting career in 1991 with Raj N. Sippy’s Saugandh and as we all know Akshay Kumar is famous for completing all of his movies in a very short period of time and giving multiple blockbusters every year to the Bollywood industry.
Khiladi Bahiya’s thoughts on Legacies
In 2017 Akshay Kumar was seen in Rajiv Masand’s show round table where he set with late actor Irrfan Khan, Ayushman Khurana, Rajkumar Rao and Varun Dhawan to talk about movies. When the topic of legacies came Akshay expressed his point of view by saying, “The only one thing for me is to keep on working every day. Because that will keep me alive. I love work, I love my holidays, I love having a family life and that’s exactly what I want. Ye legacy, vegacy to hoti rahti hai, Kuch Nahi aata (legacy is useless, it’s of no use).”
Akshay Kumar further added and said, “I have seen many big actors, old actors. One super duper star was fighting with a production guy for over 100 rupees, they were doing small roles. There’s nothing. Main to chahunga zindagi me aisi koi cheezein ho, kadar honi chahiye bade bade logon ki. Fayda Kuch nhi legacy banake (I would want such things, big legends should get the respect they deserve, but there is no use in making a legacy).”

A Reddit user who wrote in the favour of Akshay while agreeing with what he said, “I never thought it that way and now that I think of it, he not wrong at all. He’s doing his stuff for himself and his family. And that’s it. And the best part is that he acknowledges it. He publicly says that he does it for money. He’s not pretending or asking us to call him a great actor. It’s not like he says one thing and does another thing. No. The man walks his talk. Respect him for that.”
Another user expressed his thoughts about Akshay’s behaviour and said, “But I like that he’s not arrogant about his star power he knows everything has an end, he did some good movies some bad movies in his career now he’s just enjoying life and doing whatever is coming his way.”
Furthermore, some other users said, “People like Akshay are just workers that are working in an artistic field but don’t understand it,” Meanwhile, someone supported Akshay’s statement by saying, “Other people, like Akshay, might think differently about art. Everybody is allowed to have their opinion and go with it. They are shaped by their life experiences, as you are by yours. Your opinion is neither better nor worse than his.”

Akshay Kumar has plenty of movies in his hands for this year and even for the upcoming year such as after Raksha Bandhan, he will be seen in Ram Setu near Diwali festival then he has Selfiee and OMG 2 – Oh My God!, Soorarai Pottru remake for the next year.
