Alia Bhatt got married to her longtime boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor
on Thursday on their apartment balcony. The Brahmastra star shared a few pictures from her wedding on her official Instagram page. The wedding festivities started on Wednesday and were a low-key affair with only close relatives like Kareena and Karishma Kapoor in attendance. Alia Bhatt’s bridal look is a fashion inspiration for the brides to be who want simple outfits that can be worn again.
Alia ditched the traditional red lehenga
and opted for a dreamy ivory saree from Sabyasachi for her fairytale wedding with Ranbir Kapoor. The saree is hand-dyed and is of organza material. It has fine tilla embroidery work all over it. The exquisite saree was matched with an ivory blouse. The blouse is half sleeved and also had tilla embroidery on it. The stunning saree was paired with a handwoven tissue veil. The look was completed with stacks of big bangles, an uncut diamond necklace, and Jhumki. The exquisite mathapattii stole the show due to their delicate and beautiful work. The statement jewelry from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry featured uncut diamonds and pearls. The hair was styled openly with mid partition and the look was completed with a traditional Bindi.
“Today surrounded by our family and friends, at home…. in our favorite spot- the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship- we got married.” wrote the 29-year-old actress on her Instagram page.
Ranbir too looked charming in ivory sherwani from Sabyasachi, which complemented Alia’s bridal look. He completed the look with a layered necklace of pearl also from Sabyasachi heritage jewelry. He wore an ivory saafa and shawl that went along with his sherwani. The saafa had a beautiful accessory and the shawl featured embroidery of Zari marori. Alia’s stylist Ami Patel styled the wedding looks for the newlywed couple. Fans are eagerly waiting for more pictures from the small and beautiful wedding.
