Walter Hamada, who is the president of DC films said, Amber Heard was never considered for Aquaman 2 as she lacked chemistry with the film’s lead Jason Momoa.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial is in its 5th week after being paused, the trial resumed on May 16th. The ex-couple are facing each other in Virginia court over a 50 million defamation suit filed by Depp against the actress. During one of the hearings at court, Amber claimed that Warner bros have scaled back her role as Mera in Aquaman.
Due to her claims the DC films head, has now testified that the creative team had some concerns about Amber Heard’s role in the first movie as she lacked chemistry with her co-star Jason Momoa who is the lead in the film and plays the role of Aquaman.
Walter Hamada. who is the president of DC films testified in the Johnny-Amber case and revealed that the studio never planned to rope the actress as a Co-lead in Aquaman 2. He also revealed that Amber’s role was not reduced in Aquaman: the last Kingdom, as the actress first stated in her testimony.
She first appeared on Zack Snyder Justice League before moving on to a more prominent role in James warns solo feature Aquaman.
Johnny Depp-Amber Heard case has been in the media highlight for over a month, and the audience cannot get enough of the couple and what comes out every day from the courthouse. The couple met on the set of rum diaries in 2009 and started dating after a few years.
The couple eventually got married in 2015 and Heard filed for a divorce in 2016 after alleging that Depp had physically assaulted her during their marriage under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Even though Depp has denied any accusations of this nature and stated that hold was attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by allergic abuse.
The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2017, now Johnny Depp had sued Amber Heard for defamation because of an op-ed the actress had written and submitted in the Washington Post in 2018.
In the op-ed, she spoke about sexual violence and claim that she was a domestic abuse survivor. However, she did not name Depp in particular but Johnny Depp decided to sue her with alleged accusations. According to Depp and his attorneys, he was the one who was getting physically abused in the relationship and not Amber.
