Amitabh Bachchan confirmed through his blog on Tumblr that he popped out his rib cartilage during the shooting of his upcoming film, Project K, in Hyderabad. He got injured while performing an action shot for the film. Currently, the actor is resting in his home Jalsa, Mumbai.
He revealed in his blog, “And it needs to be told .. not be held “. He wrote that during an action shot at the shoot for Project K in Hyderabad, he was injured, rib cartilage popped, broke, and muscles tore in the right rib cage; he canceled the shoot. He also added that he consulted the doctor and did a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. The actor then flew back home.
Regarding the treatment, he said that strapping had been done and rest had been advocated. He wrote that it was indeed painful for movement and breathing, and it would take some weeks before some normalization could occur. He added that he was on medication for pain as well.
He continued in his post that he is resting at Jalsa, is mobile a bit for all the essential activities, and is generally lying around.” The actor has a practice of meeting his fans on Sunday at the Jalsa gate, but he wrote that he will not be meeting the fans till he is recovered and requested that his fans not gather for the meet and greet for now. He ended his post by saying that all else was well!
Project K
Project K is being directed by Nag Ashwin and is expected to release on January 12 of next year. It is a sci-fi movie starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Disha Patani. The release date of the movie was announced by that production company on the occasion of Shivratri.
