The megastar suffered a fatal injury of broken rib cartilage and torn muscle to his right rib cage. He met with the dreaded accident while filming an action sequence for the film. The filmmaker called off the shoot owing to the seriousness of the accident. Thereafter, the veteran was flown back to Mumbai after receiving medical assistance at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad.
The 80-year-old took the incident to his blog, saying that he was injured while filming an action shot on the sets of Project K. He added that his “rib cartilage popped and broke” and that he had “a muscle tear to the right rib cage.” He cancelled the shoot, consulted his doctor, and was scanned by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. After all this, he was flown back home. He has been strapped, and his doctor has prescribed that he rest well.
He lamented about his pain while breathing or making movements and assured the doctor that his health would improve once he took some time off. His medication is working for the pain too. He further stated that all his work that was to be done was suspended, cancelled, dropped, or put on hold at the moment, during his healing period.
He is resting at his haven, Jalsa, and is a little mobile for the inevitable tasks. However, he is generally lying around and at rest. Amitabh Bachchan ended on a pleading note, asking his well-wishers not to come to the Jalsa gate, as his condition would not permit him to meet them.
