Anushka Sharma founded Clean Slate Filmz with brother Karnesh Ssharma is stepping away from her production house.
Anushka Sharma penned down a note on Instagram announcing her decision of stepping down from home production Clean Slate Filmz (CSF) on Saturday. The Bollywood actress stated that she has decided to dedicate her time to her first love, “acting!” and her brother Karnesh Ssharma will take the production house forward.
Anushka had started CSF with her brother Karnesh in 2013 with a vision to produce the clutter-breaking content in India. The siblings led CSF mostly produced women-led films that projected women breaking barriers in an unconventional way.
Anushka’s thriller film NH10 in 2015 was CSF’s first production, co-produced with Phantom Films. Sooner, the production created more films including Phillauri, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Pari, Bulbbul and tried their hands in award winning web series with Paatal Lok.
Actress is all set to return to big screens with Chakda Xpress on Netflix which will also be her last film as the founder and producer of CSF.
Anushka enjoying her motherhood with Vamika is trying to find a balance in life as she wrote, “Being a new mother who has chosen to be an actor by profession, I have to balance my life in an entirely new fashion like never before. So, I have decided that whatever time I have in my hand, I will dedicate it to my first love, acting!”
Karnesh had recently launched ‘Clean OTT’ to create new benchmarks with female-oriented OTT is set to begin in the first quarter of 2024. And with Clean OTT, he will now own and produce films with CSF.
Anushka will no longer be continuing with production house, wishes her best to Karnesh and entire family of CSF as she looks ‘Onwards and Upwards’ with her decision.
