Three full-length feature films will be produced by Arabia Pictures and Eros Media World PLC (“Eros Media,” “Eros,” or the “Company”), an international Indian entertainment and media company. One of the films will be a remake of a super-popular 2012 Bollywood film, and the other two are unnamed Hindi language projects. The three movies will all be developed and produced in Saudi Arabia. By the middle of 2024, the local remake movie will start production, and by the end of 2024, the other two will as well.
CEO of Arabia Pictures Abdulelah Alahmary ads, “We’re really excited to cooperate with Eros Media in order to provide engrossing, family-friendly storylines to the MENA region. We think that because our cultures are similar, our first joint film, a remake, will be well received by viewers. With the assistance of excellent Saudi writers, we are currently reworking the story. The specifics of these projects will be disclosed soon.
Arabia Pictures and Eros Media :
Pradeep Dwivedi, CEO of Eros Media World, commented on the news by saying, “Saudi Arabia and India have a positive bond representing their millennia economic and socio-cultural links. Global media organisations like Eros Media can engage in and add to a Saudi government’s goal at this time, when Saudi Arabia is expanding and welcoming investment and expertise from all around the world. “We have discovered the ideal partner in Arabia Pictures, and together we’ll recreate the enchantment of Bollywood in Saudi,” he continues.
Arabia Pictures is a MENA-focused multimedia production and distribution company. Eros Media with Arabia Pictures signed a strategic alliance in August of this year to look into business potential in the film, tech, and Web 3 industries.
The relationship is in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s Strategy 2030, a strategic plan by the government to diversify the country’s economy and promote public service sectors like healthcare, school, transportation, leisure, media, and tourism in order to reduce Saudi Arabia’s reliance on oil.
