In tragic news, five people were killed in a helicopter crash in Upper Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh. It was an army helicopter.
Five people included two pilots who were in HAL Rudra which is an Advanced Light Helicopter The crash location was such that there was no connecting road there. However, a rescue team was sent there after the crash. The team recovered all five bodies later on Friday evening.
The deceased included Major Mustafa Bohara and Major Vikas Bhambhu, CFN Tech AVN(AEN) Aswin K V, NK (Ppr) Rohitashva Kumar and Havildar (OPR) Biresh Sinha.

The chopper took flight from Likabali town on Friday morning but crashed near Singging village soon after. The unfortunate incident took place crash took place about 25 km from the Tuting headquarters.
Since there are no roads at the site, choppers were sent for the rescue. The local villagers also joined the search operations
Rudra is manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It is an attack helicopter designed for the Indian Army.

Second crash in Arunachal Pradesh
This is the second helicopter crash in Arunachal Pradesh and that too of the Indian Army. Earlier, a Cheetah helicopter crashed in Tawang district on October 5, taking away the life of one of the two pilots.
Last week a private helicopter crashed in Kedarnath taking away the lives of 7 people.
