Kim Junmyeon is set to make his first solo comeback since his military discharge
On March 14th, 2022, at midnight KST, Exo’s Suho announced the name of his upcoming album, “Grey Suit,” through an Instagram post.
The post was captioned “Grey Suit?” alongside a teaser image which might be an indication of a spring concept owing to its black and yellow floral theme.
Earlier on March 10, a media outlet revealed that the artist was preparing for a solo comeback. Later, SM Entertainment, Suho’s company, confirmed the news through an official statement.“Suho is preparing a solo album with the aim of making a comeback in April. Please show lots of interest. ”, read the official response to the news.
Kim Junmyeon, who goes by the stage name Suho, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer. He is the lead vocalist and leader of the K-pop group EXO.
Suho made his debut as an idol in 2012, as a member of the then 12-member group EXO, which included Korean and Chinese members.The group that now stands with 9 members debuted under SM Entertainment with a unique concept.
In 2013, EXO became a million-seller with their album XOXO after selling a million copies of the said album.They became the first artists to reach that milestone in South Korea in 12 years, thereby ending the million-selling drought..
Suho made his solo debut on March 30, 2020, with his first mini-album, “SELF PORTRAIT,” becoming the fourth Exo member to make a solo debut. The album debuted at number one onthe Gaon Album Charts. The artist won all three main music shows with the album’s lead single; titled “Let’s Love.”
The second mini album would be Suho’s first music release since his military discharge on February 14th, 2022. The artist has been dropping various clues about his comeback in April on several occasions, keeping the fans on the edge.
He also hinted towards a probable group comeback. In an interview with the Indonesian entertainment program InsertLive, Suho said, “Of course, EXO members and I are planning to prepare an album to greet the fans.”
Soon after the teaser for the second album was released, fans couldn’t control their excitement and took to Twitter to express their feelings and theories about the concept of the album, leading to #Junmyeon trending in various countries, including India, Indonesia, etc.
