In sweeden green steel is heatinfg up

Steel producers are under increasing pressure to reduce their environmental impact and contribute to the Paris Climate Agreement, which aims to keep global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.   For hundreds of years, blazing blast furnaces have forged steel used in automobiles, trains, bridges, and skyscrapers, using coking coal as fuel.   Coal-fired smoke, on the other hand, is a major source of carbon dioxide, the heat-trapping gas that is causing climate change.   According to the World Steel Association, each metric ton of steel produced in 2020 released nearly twice as much carbon dioxide into the atmosphere (1.8 tons).…

What is Genome Editing and How it is different from Genome modification, updated regulations in India  - Asiana Times

Scientists in Germany and the United States devised a technology that allowed them to ‘cut’ DNA strands and Genome Editing a decade ago. This approach allows agriculture experts to use site-directed nuclease (SDN) or sequence-specific nuclease (SSN) to make desired alterations in the genome. Nuclease is an enzyme that cleaves nucleic acid, the genetic material’s building block.   Scientists have developed very effectively clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeat (CRISPR) -associated proteins-based systems thanks to advanced research. This method enables targeted genomic sequence intervention. This tool has given plant breeders a lot of new options. Agricultural scientists can now modify the genome…

Several parts of Russian systems used by the military services are procured from Ukraine by India. Many of the USSR’s defence industry hubs remained in Ukraine after the country’s disintegration.
