Around seven battalions of the Assam rifles who are deployed in Southern Manipur have not been able to receive fresh ration for the past 18 days due to a supply blockade by people in Meitei areas, preventing the stocks from reaching the camps. A fishing boat crammed with migrants sank off the coast of southern Greece

On Wednesday, a fishing boat overcrowded with migrants trying to reach Europe sank off the coast of southern Greece. The authorities have stated that at least 78 are dead and hundreds missing. Some of the survivors have informed that as many as 750 people may have been on board, with reportedly a hundred children in the hold. Greece has called it one of the biggest-ever migrant tragedies and has announced three days of mourning. According to a report published by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, China and Cuba have reached a secret deal whereby an electronic eavesdropping facility will be installed on the island which is about 160 km from Florida.
