New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla, amidst the Monsoon session chaos acknowledged the no-confidence motion against the central BJP government on Wednesday. The no-trust motion was proposed by Gaurav Gogoi, a Congress MP on behalf of the newly formed I.N.D.I.A opposition alliance. The date of the debate will be decided at a later date. Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin signed legislation that bans gender-affirming medical practices in the country on Monday. Recently coronated King Charles III will receive a massive pay rise with the government’s decision to boost public funding of the monarch by 45% from 2025. The review of the royal funding settlement published by the Treasury of the UK on Thursday revealed that the monarchy’s grant will rise from £86m to £125m.
