How Climate Change Has Fueled Hurricanes Like Ida

Hurricane Ida has rapidly gained strength right before it hit Louisiana this weekend. Abnormally hot water in the Gulf of Mexico acted as fuel. Ida was a fierce Category 4 hurricane when it came ashore Sunday in Louisiana. With sustained winds of about 150 mph, the storm ripped roofs off buildings and snapped power poles. It pushed a wall of water powerful enough to sweep homes off foundations and tear boats and barges from their moorings. Climate change helped Ida rapidly gain strength right before it made landfall. The U.S. has once again sacrificed constructivism for its Hawkish neorealism in the region, clearly demonstrated by Kamala Harris’s statements. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’s statements on the so-called “China practising intimidation in Southeast Asia” further demonstrate that the U.S. has sacrificed constructivism for its hawkish neorealism once again in the region. A relatable, light-hearted family tale that drives people by Indran’s effortless performance. Changing with the times is not something that comes naturally to everyone.
