Singapore introduces us to “NEWBrew”, a beer made from recycled toilet water from sewage. The drink is made from “NEWater”, Singapore’s brand of drinking water which is made from sewage. This alcoholic beverage is a collaboration between the country’s national water agency, PUB, and local craft brewery Brewerkz. It was first disclosed at a water conference in 2018. The flood situation in Assam deteriorated more on Wednesday as reported. Five more people lost their lives and 2.49 million people are suffering in the deluge. The flood tide report issued by Assam State Disaster Management Authority on Wednesday morning said the number of people affected by cataracts in 28 districts increased to over 24.92 lakh.
