Oscar winning actor William Hurt dies at 71 

The Oscar-winning actor who starred in “Broadcast News” and “Children of a Lesser God” has passed away at 71. William McChord Hurt’s son, Will, told the Associated Press that his father died on March 13th. He said his father died peacefully among the family. He died at his home in Portland, Oregon.
