Superstitions on pleasing rain god stripped minor girls naked in a drought-hit Madhya Pradesh village

Six minor girls were paraded naked with heavy wooden shafts on their shoulders tied with frogs to please rain god; locals believe this will bring ample rainfall in drought-hit paddy fields. At least six minor girls aged around five in a Madhya Pradesh village were stripped and were made to do ritual begging by locals, door-to-door naked to appease the rain god as part of local practice and prevailing superstitions. August GST collections cross the Rs 1 lakh crore mark indicating economic recovery.

The second consecutive month, when GST collections remain above Rs 1 lakh crore after a dip in the second wave of Covid-19 in April-May. New Orleans without power as Hurricane Ida Battered Louisiana

Kabul Airport Blitz kills more than 100; alerts US administration.

Crowds of Afghans attacked as Islamic State gunmen and two suicide bombers charged the refugees flocking to Kabul’s airport on Thursday. Charlie Watts, the heartbeat of Rolling Stones, passed away peacefully at a hospital in London surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday. Pro-Hamas activists launched Arson balloons into Israel, causing multiple fires to pressure Israel to ease the blockade and resume Qatari aid to Gaza; renewed border violence. The revised guidelines will come into effect from January 1, 2022 . On Wednesday, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed revised guidelines for services like deposit lockers, article facilities, and safe custody. These guidelines will be relevant for both new and existing deposit lockers. RBI has asked banks to maintain a mandatory branch-wise list of vacant lockers and a wait-list for allotting the safe deposit lockers.
