Thane: At 15 years old, a boy allegedly decides to end his life by jumping from a building in Vartak Nagar, Thane. Bandra: Akash Mukherjee, a 22-year-old from Kalyan, has been arrested and charged with ‘attempt to murder’, for trying to kill his girlfriend of 13 months, after she refused to have sexual relations with him. Lubna Sukte, the victim, suffered injuries on her eyes, nose, and head after the accused banged her head on the rocks. Manipur: On Tuesday night, 3 abandoned houses were torched, once again sparking violence and chaos in Manipur. An MLA’s house was vandalised. Several reasons have led to this chaos. On Wednesday (24th May 2024), at 9:30 am, in the district of Bishnupur, suspected militants open fired and injured 2 civilians. The last few years have been India’s hottest years. Here are some weather updates as predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). On Monday, 22nd May 2024, Najafgarh, a town in South Delhi recorded a temperature of 46.2°C. It’s the highest-ever recorded temperature in the Delhi NCR region. Delhi High Court on 22 May 2024, issued a summons to BBC (British Broadcasting Company) in a defamation suit filed by a Gujarat-based NGO, regarding the BBC documentary on PM Modi’s role in the 2002 Gujarat riots. Senior Advocate Harish Salve is going to fight on behalf of the NGO. They’ve issued a statement saying that the documentary casts a slur on the reputation of the Prime Minister of India and the Indian Judiciary.
