Uttarakhand has a brief history of landslides and earthquakes in its history. The avalanche which took place recently is one of the most dangerous and gruesome acts of nature that could ever take place. 3 friends trekked up the Uttarakhand hills when an avalanche hit the friends resulting in only one friend returning safely. The man is now in a state of shock. The avalanche took place on the 1st of October at around 3:25 pm. For those three friends, it was a compulsory selfie moment when they climbed the summit or were about to climb the summit.
It was a terrific moment indeed. They were at a height of 16500 feet above sea level where the icy cold wind blew their faces at a shot. The icy cold winds landed in blowing all the 3 friends off. After a few hours, Kapil Panswar’s phone was found where his photo was found. Soon after his body was found frozen. A few minutes later he gains consciousness. After gaining consciousness he recalls the whole incident. He tells the officials how he and his other 2 friends left their homes to climb the mountain in Uttarakhand.
Kapil is still in a state of shock where he could recollect each and every incident. He says that he is in a state of shock, and he can never sleep in peace after this incident. The search and rescue team are in search of more bodies. According to sources 10 more dead bodies have been found in the avalanche on Friday. So far 26 bodies have been found of which 24 are trainers and mountaineers courses conducted by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM). 2 bodies are of trainers of NIM.
Ever since the avalanche has taken place, there are at least 29 people have slipped down. The incident took place at least at a distance of 50 to 60 meters away from the summit. The disaster took place at feet of 17500 feet on Tuesday. The 3 friends were at feet of 16500 meters approximately. This incident can never be forgotten in the history
This incident affected hundreds of people. A search for bodies is still on operation.
