Mother kills her own child of four years old as she tosses her off from the balcony of the 4th floor in Bengaluru. Told the residents that she fell by accident.
Sushma Bharadwaj killed her child who was just four years old. She threw the child from the balcony of the fourth floor on Thursday afternoon in Advaith Ashray Apartment in Srinivas Colony in Sudhamanagar, Bengaluru.
Sushma is a non-practicing dentist and was taking medicines for depression.
The four-year-old girl has hearing and speech impairments, according to the authorities. Due to this, the mother was also depressed.
Sushma’s husband, Kiran Balakrishna, is a software engineer. He was working from home that day.
Her husband filed a complaint against her reporting the matter to the police.
She informed that she is taking Dhruthi, the four-year-old child, to play on the fourth floor, while they live on the second floor.
Around 3:30 P.M., she threw her daughter, Dhruthi from the balcony of the fourth floor. Sushma climbed to the grill and screamed for help claiming that Dhruthi fell by accident. Furthermore, she even claimed that Sushma was also trying to kill herself as well but got scared and rather screamed for help.

When she was found alive, Sushma took her to the hospital Nimhans as well for treatment. But due to fatal injuries, Dhruthi couldn’t survive and was declared dead.
Sushma reportedly thought of Dhruthi as a barrier to her professional success. According to Kiran, Dhruthi was receiving treatment and going to a school for kids with special needs even though she was unable to talk owing to her condition.
Based on Kiran’s complaint, police interrogated Sushma. During that, she admitted that she threw her daughter.
Kiran also informed that prior to a month, Sushma left Dhruthi at the KSR train station while traveling to Odisha and claimed the child went missing. In order to locate Dhruthi at the Baiyyappanahalli railway station, Kiran needed assistance from the police and NGOs.
