The ships will come to the respective Ghats of Patna and Bhagalpur in Bihar within two weeks and then it will become operational to the tourists. The Managing Director of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, Nandkishore has said that the process of tender is happening for the operation of both cruises. The Cruise trip will commence from the perspective of tourism and all the formal procedures are expected to complete soon.
State Bureau of Patna said that the tourists of Bhagalpur and the tourists of the Capital city Patna will soon enjoy the services of the cruise in the river Ganges. Two vessels (RO Pax Vessel) have the capacity to carry 300 tourists and will be operated by the Tourism department. The Cruise Ship is all set to take a tour of the Ganges Ghats of Patna and Bhagalpur at a speed of 15 km per Hour. The cruise is expected to start the next month.
MoU Signed over the Cruise ships of Bihar
Regarding this, an MoU is signed on Monday between the Tourism Department, Nand Kishore, the managing director of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, and KL Rajak, Director of Inland Waterways Authorities of India. Tourism secretary Abhay Kumar Singh said that river cruise tourism is promoted in the state of river Ganges. It will be a new point of attraction for the people of Bihar. This MoU was signed in the presence of Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Department of Tourism and the program was held at the Directorate Tourism Auditorium.
Cruise Trips to the parts of Bihar
As Earlier mentioned, the two vessel ships of RO Pax vessels can carry passengers of around 300 in each ship in Patna and Bhagalpur. The cruise ship will take a long trip to the places like Shri Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara via Kangan Ghat in Patna while from Bhagalpur the vessel will take a visit to the Dolphin Century along with Ganga Ghats.
By the Patna District administration, a total of 45,000 sq. ft of land has been allotted for the parking of Row Pax vessels between the vacant land near Janardan Ghat, Digha Patna, and the newly constructed Marine Drive of Patna City.
Whereas, in Bhagalpur, a place has been allotted in the Namami Gange Ghat in the east direction of Sultanganj whose area is about 103.03 decimals that is 0.4132 hectares. Before the operation of the Vessels, the construction and preparation of the Ramp, jetty, Ladder, and ghat, has been completed by the Tourism Corporation.
Multipurpose use of Cruise Ships
Not only these vessels will take a tour of tourist place of Bihar, but these cruise ships will also offer various services like holding a Birthday party program. Bookings for marriages and other auspicious events can be done. The fare for the bookings has not been decided yet, the decision will be made after the completion of the tender process. The people of Bihar must be very excited about this cruise trip to all the tourist places. The authorities of the state have taken a step towards the development of Bihar.
