This year is no different as several new names get added to the already glamorous list of Bollywood A-listers who have bagged esteemed Hollywood projects.Â
Shabana Azmi in Spielberg’s ‘Halo’Â
In the latest Halo series produced by Steven Spielberg, Azmi will play a crucial supporting role. The role is extremely important to her, and the narrative makes sure that she will not be just a relic of a museum.
She even shares the enthusiastic response of her close ones, who are acquainted with the game and are currently helping her understand the story better.Â
Halo is a forthcoming television series based on the video game franchise of the same name. It focuses on a war between the United Nations Space Command and the alien Covenant Empire.
It is a live-action series that requires Artificial Intelligence for filming, and Azmi seems entirely enthralled by it. Set to be premiered in early 2022 on the OTT platform of Paramount+.Â
‘The Gray Man’ welcomes Dhanush
Dhanush, who has previously starred in The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, will appear in The Gray Man, which Helmer Joe and Anthony Russo will direct (yes! the directors of Avenger: Endgame).
The movie will be starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in significant roles and is based on the novel written by Mark Greaney.Â
Padukone’s second Hollywood hit
STXfilms chairman, Adam Fogelson, has announced the development of a rom-com in collaboration with Temple Hills, in which Deepika Padukone has landed a significant role.
Since Padukon’s infectious personality and charm is already making her fans in India be head over heels for her, the chairman could not think of anyone else more suitable for the role. While she has effectively made a successful name while working with Eros International films, she is yet to enchant the people at the two new production houses.Â
Apart from starring in the film, Deepika is also producing it under her banner, Ka Productions.Â
This unparalleled beauty and excellent actor has signed two Hollywood projects this year. Priyanka Chopra will be starring in The Matrix Resurrection, the sequel to the movie of the same name produced in 2003 and will serve as the fourth instalment in the entire series.
The film will also get an Indian spinoff directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Her second venture includes an Amazon series named Citadel, directed by the Russo brothers.Â
New names to enter Hollywood
Hollywood is welcoming some new names this year as well. While Sobhita Dhulipala and Sikandar Kher appear in Dev Patel’s directorial debut Monkey Man, Pravesh Rana and Kubbra Sait have bagged roles in the extravagant Apple TV+ series, Foundation.
Both the couple is pretty enthusiastic about their shows and are pleased to work on them.Â
