J-Hope aka Jung Ho-seok, the member of BTS, tested positive for Covid-19 on March 24. He is the band’s sixth member to be diagnosed with the Covid-19. He has completed all of his vaccinations. This news comes as the band prepares to travel to the United States for their performance at the Grammy Awards in 2022.
They also got nominated yet again for one category in Grammy 2022. BTS will perform in Las Vegas a few days after the Grammy Awards.
The agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, stated in a statement that, J Hope reported symptoms of a sore throat and went a hospital to take a PCR test on Wednesday, March 23, and was diagnosed with COVID-19 today.
They also mentioned that, J-Hope has received three rounds of Covid-19 vaccines and is currently free of unusual symptoms other than a sore throat, for which he is receiving therapy at home while under quarantine.
J-Hope intends to participate in activities scheduled for next month after his treatment is completed. The company prioritizes the artists’ health, and they will do everything possible to help J-hope recuperate quickly. They shall also work with the guidelines and requests with the healthcare authorities’ standards and requirements.
ARMYs is showing their worry about their idol and they’ve taken to Twitter to express their concern. On Twitter, BTS ARMYs currently trending the hashtag, ‘GetWellSoonHobi’, and wishing J-Hope a swift recovery.
This comes after BTS’ Jin was taken to the hospital for minor surgery just a few days ago. Jin recently damaged his fingers and was brought to the medical emergency room on Friday, March 18, according to a statement posted on Weverse. During his everyday tasks, the BTS member partially damaged the tendons in his finger. He had surgery to fix the extensor in his left finger after consulting with doctors.
The surgery went successful, according to the doctor, mentioned in the official announcement. On Saturday, he was released from the hospital, and the doctors urged him to rest completely. In addition, BTS’s Jin will be required to wear a cast until the injury heals.
Jimin from BTS was likewise diagnosed with COVID-19 and had his appendix surgery on January 31, but now fully recovered. BTS members, RM, Suga, Jin, and V have all tested positive for coronavirus in the recent several months and have recovered.
BTS gave their first in-person concert in Seoul in over two years earlier this month. This month, the band was honoured to perform for native ARMYs.
BTS with J-Hope were expected to go to the United States for BTS’ Grammy performance on April 4. The K-pop group’s performance at the Grammy 2022 is only few days away.
Recent BTS’s achievements
BTS has received yet another important honour to add to their list of accomplishments. BTS won the global recording artist of the year award for 2021 on 24th February, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), the official organisation that represents the recording industry globally.
With that, the K-pop band BTS, also recently won two awards at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best Music Video and Best Fan Army.
