Recently a video went viral all over the social media where Cardi B was interrupted by a concert goer when she threw a drink at her during the middle of her performance. Cardi B was also seen throwing her microphone at her. After almost a bunch of performers being attacked during concerts, Cardi B was attacked on Saturday. However she took her revenge on the stage itself.
The incident with Cardi B
On Saturday, Cardi B was performing her hit Bodak Yellow at a concert wearing an orange cut-out, thigh-high slit, flowy dress when an audience threw her drink at Cardi. Cardi stopped her performance in the middle and was trying to locate the person from the crowd. Though the music track kept playing behind her. She understood who threw the drink at her and she aimed and launched her microphone at the person in the crowd.
Later Cardi’s security caught them and dragged them away from the concert. The ‘Please Me’ singer was visibly upset and frustrated by this incident.
After the videos of this incident went viral, fans started to burst out with their comments applauding her for her fierceless deed. A user wrote, “She deserved it, she shouldn’t have done that.” while another fan appreciated her action and said that finally someone fought back against this disrespectful deed.
Another user commented on her post that the people who threw the drink deserved to be treated like that and she doesn’t blame Cardi B for it. She even added that nowadays people have no respect for the artists and they throw stuffs at them while they are performing. So it is time for the artists to reply back to them with the same amount of disrespect.
Cardi B was not the first artist to face such a situation. Recently singer Harry Styles was attacked in Vienna in the middle of his performance and he suffered an eye injury after an object was thrown aiming at him.
Even before this, many artists like Drake, Ava Max, Bebe Rexha were attacked by the audience at live concerts.
Rexha was thrown a mobile phone by someone from the crowd named Nicolas Malvagna that split her eyebrows. When the object hit her she knocked down on the floor. Her wound by the eyebrows needed stitches, as reported by news.
On the other hand, Kelsea Ballerini, the ‘Half of my Hometown’ singer was also attacked by an object in Boise, Idaho. Pink was also attacked by some audience members when they hit her with a bag of their mother’s ashes. This incident made her speechless and she didn’t really open up about it.
Most recently Adelle, the ‘Someone Like You’ singer opened up about safety procedures and stage etiquettes at The Colosseum in Las Vegas. She said that people are forgetting stage etiquettes day by day and these attacks on stage are rapidly increasing.
So even if some might say that Cardi B lost her temper and her attack was unjustified, the majority of the fans are on Cardi B ‘s side, appreciating her aim.
