- India reported 58,077 active cases
- COVID-19 vaccination coverage of the first dose covers 96 per cent nationwide
As per the Union Ministry of India, the current active Covid-19 cases in the government declined to 6,97,802, accounting for 1.64 per cent of the country’s total positive patients.
However, the daily positivity rate was noted at 3.89 per cent
. At the same time, the weekly positivity rate was taken down to 5.76 per cent.
On Thursday, Director-General of ICMR [Indian Council of Medical Research] Dr. Balram Bhargava remarked that COVID-19 vaccination coverage of the first dose covers 96 percent nationwide. It said proudly that Soon India is to become a vaccine super-power.
On the same day, Ladakh reported 131 more corona cases. Looking at the overall patients in the Union Territory to 27,279, however, the number of active topics in the union territory has gone down to 670.
On Friday, Tamil Nadu added 3,086 new Covid-19 cases. The health department said the number of COVID-19 cases was noted to 34,31,154, while 25 more fatalities took the death toll to 37,887.
Looking to recoveries new possibilities, in the last 24 hours, 14,051 people getting discharged from hospitals.
