The TV and film actress known for her roles in Cheers, Look Who’s Talking, Look Who’s Talking, too, Veronica’s Closet has died at the age of 71 after losing a battle with cancer.
The news of kirstie Alley’s death was confirmed on Monday late night in a statement from her children, Daughter Lillie Price Stevenson(28) and son William True Stevenson(30), The siblings posted to her social media account. Later on, the actress’ manager also confirmed the heartbreaking news.
A few days back Kirstie Alley had been diagnosed with this chronic illness(cancer), she was being treated at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida, her family revealed.
The saddening news of Kirstie’s death was confirmed through her official social media account, which shared a statement from her children.
“To all our friends, far and wide around the world… We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” reads the statement. “She was surrounded by her closest family and fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”

“We are grateful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for their care,” the statement continues. “Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and left us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did. We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time.”
The siblings posted via Kirstie’s Twitter account
Kirstie’s ex-husband, actor Parker Stevenson, wrote:
“I am so grateful for our years together, and for the two incredibly beautiful children and grandchildren that we have. You will be missed.”
Kirstie Alley had recently discovered her illness.
The siblings revealed how their mother and family had discovered the illness recently. She had cancer.

The siblings were thankful to the whole staff of Moffitt Cancer Center where Alley was being treated.
They also showed gratefulness towards Kirstie’s fans for all the support they have given to her mother. And also requested people, Media & fans to respect the privacy of the family.

Kirstie was well known to act as Rebecca Howe in the NBC sitcom “Cheers” during 1987 – 93. She received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe award in 1991.
She also featured in dozens of movies and TV shows, including “Sibling Rivalry,” “Veronica’s Closet,” “Drop Dead Gorgeous,” “Runaway” “It Takes Two,” Shoot to Kill,” “Loverboy,” and the “Look Who’s Talking” franchise,
After parting ways with Jenny Craig she started her own company titled ‘Organic Liaisons’.
Kirstie was very active on social media. She was serious about it for real.
Though she barely talked about politics, she once tweeted in support of Donald Trump’s campaign for the presidential election.
Notably, Kirstie once appeared on The Masked Singer in April 2022 as the Baby Mammoth for the last night.
