There is nothing new by China and its Chinese fighter jets time and again violating the LAC agreement for some serious intentions. It is believed that this is a tactic for preventing the Indian Air Force (IAF) from constructing new highways between vital strategic points. Also, to prevent the increase in deploying new military equipment along the borders.Â
The neighboring country has been trying to create such pressure for the past two years. As per sources, it is a Chinese attempt to keep things active and not do any real escalation. But, still, Indian forces have been preparing themselves for all kinds of situations in return. This provocation is being done under its air attempts where their fighters and drones are repeatedly violating the 10km CBM.Â
The CBM is a Confidence Building Measure (CBM) agreement between the two countries. As per that, both sides have to avoid their fighters from entering into a 10Km radius along the LAC.Â
Other Provocations by China
Another crucial way of provocation is its plan to construct a new highway near the LAC. It will reportedly run through the disputed territory of Aksai Chin and other points in Eastern Ladakh. Also known as the G- 695 national expressway, the building of the highway is a part of the new national program. It can aim to construct 345 new infrastructure projects. It will take a total of 4,61,000 km of highway and motorway, by 2035.
This highway will give them an access point to mobilize and shift forces to the front locations at LAC in case of need. It will ensure an easy shift of logistics for troops of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) at the border.Â
The tension between the two sides is not just at the 1,597-km border in Ladakh. It extends to the Eastern part where they are building infrastructure, including villages, near LAC.
Chinese Soldiers are being trainedÂ
As per sources, they are busy building infrastructure, longer runways, underground shelters, and deploying a large number of aircraft. Also, China has added the latest personnel carriers, artillery, and Air defense systems along LAC while speeding up communications networks.Â
Summing up,
India is surrounded by hostile neighbors. Since China has been creating pressure and playing pressure tactics, India needs to keep itself prepared and continue with its initiatives on strengthening the defense system and border security. Also, we must not divert our prime focus from the development of our country.Â
