Cartoon Network joins Warner Bros Studios, Netizens doesn’t feel happy about it!
Cartoon Network announced its merger with THE WARNER BROS and 90s kids don’t feel good about it. A piece of news recently broke out, that cartoon network is officially saying goodbye. If you were born in a time when they were no YouTube or social media, the Cartoon Network was the only source of entertainment we had those days. Cartoons such as The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, and of course TOM AND JERRY were quite among a few who topped the chart. In those days, when we were not surrounded by gadgets, cartoon network was the only source of entertainment.
Therefore, people all over the world felt emotional when the news of this merger came out. People all over the world shared their feeling towards this merger and shared their memories over shows like “Pop-eye the sailor man, Johnny Bravo, and The Loony tunes, one user wrote “end of an era, end of our childhood days.”

Meanwhile, as per ABC news, Warner Bros Television Group shared the news that 26% of personnel, for a total of 125 positions across scripted, unscripted, and animation were cut. According to a report, Warner Bros and Cartoon Network will continue to run as before and will be operated by Sam Registers as part of a new streamlined structure.
This month, a popular show on Cartoon Network Craig of the Creek, and its spin-off Jessica’s Big Little World had an episode cut by 50%. Although both shows are still running, this cutdown brings a question that whether Warner Bros could maintain the brand name Cartoon Network carried! The CEO of Warner Bros Studios Channing Dungey said that the merger may bring more effects than the initial planning.
Cartoon Network was founded by Ted Turner and was launched on October 1 in 1992, it was one of the oldest cartoon channels and its first series which premiered was THE MOXY Show.
