Raju Srivastava’s condition deteriorates, ‘almost brain dead’, says close aide.
Comedian Raju Srivastava was declared brain dead, expert says there is a slim chance of recovery as the body was unable to survive without artificial life support. His medical condition has deteriorated further.
Fellow comic and friend, Sunil Pal, in an emotional video, has shared that doctors at AIIMS (in Delhi) are unable to do much to save Srivastava and that his brain has stopped functioning. In the video released on Instagram recently, Pal can be seen requesting fans to offer their sincere prayers for Srivastava.

Raju Srivastava’s friends and family were shocked after finding out about his critical condition. When IndiaToday.in spoke to Raju’s friends in Kanpur, they shared that Raju’s health deteriorated last night due to swelling in his brain.
Meanwhile, Garvit Narang said that the doctors said that after they gave injections to Raju Srivastava, there was swelling in the brain. It is possible that after the swelling subsides, Raju’s condition will improve and the brain will start functioning again.
Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack on August 10. He was working out on the treadmill when he experienced chest pain and collapsed. He was brought to AIIMS Delhi by his trainer and was given CPR twice to resuscitate his heart.
He hasn’t regained consciousness after suffering cardiac arrest. During the heart attack, Raju Srivastava also suffered immense brain damage. He continues to be in critical condition and is still on ventilator support. His condition has neither improved nor declined.
Rumors about Raju Srivastava’s death were doing the rounds, leaving a tense situation for everyone. Pinkvilla contacted comedian-friend Ahsaan Qureshi to find out the exact situation. He told us, “Doctors have given up. They’ve told the family that they could do whatever possible to save him, and now only a miracle can save him.
The news about his death is untrue. The doctors have said that his brain is dead. His condition is very critical. We all friends are praying and chanted Hanuman Chalisa a few minutes ago. He is in Delhi AIIMS as of now. I request everyone to pray for a miracle to happen.”
Raju’s manager shared the comedian’s health update.
On August 16th, Raju’s manager, Nayan Soni, shared the comedian’s health update and informed him that his condition is improving. In a PTI report, Nayan said that Raju’s condition is slowly getting better and he is responding to the treatment.
He also shared that Raju can now move his body parts a bit. Sharing more information on the nation’s favourite comedian, Nayan said that Raju continues to remain in the ICU and on the ventilator, and doctors have informed them that it will take about a week for him to regain consciousness.
On August 13th, 2022, Raju’s family issued a statement to give an update on his health condition and said that he is stable and requested to ignore any kind of rumours.

Earlier, Raju Srivastava’s friend and comedian Ahsaan Qureshi gave Pinkvilla an update about his health and said that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi also telephoned Raju Srivastava’s wife Shikha to enquire about his health and offered support. He also said that even Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has offered his support.
