Veteran comedian and entertainer Raju Srivastava had a mild heart attack on August 9 while working out on the treadmill. The incident happened in New Delhi at around 11-11:30 am at a gym close to the actor’s house.
Srivastava was immediately rushed to AIIMS hospital, New Delhi, by other gym members. Sources report that he collapsed on the gym floor and was brought to AIIMS just in time.
Presently, Srivastava is on the life support system and continues to be unconscious. Doctors say that he has suffered from drain damage following the cardiac arrest, and his condition has neither worsened nor improved.
Raju Srivastava’s family arrived at the hospital on Tuesday and has been staying by his side since then. They have wholeheartedly thanked the gym members who brought him to the hospital on time.
On Thursday, Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, had a telephonic conversation with Raju Srivastava’s wife and assured her of all kinds of help. Later in the day, defense minister Rajnath Singh had a discussion with the AIIMS director about the actor’s clinical condition.
