Sonia Gandhi set up a team of 22 members for committee affairs, convenor surjewala, PCC chief D.K Shivakumar, along with former Chief minister Siddaramaiah and M veerappa Moily. Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, Senior Party leaders B K Hariprasad, Dinesh Gundurao, Margret Alva, D K Suresh and party’s task force member Sunil Kanugolu, among its members.
Former MP and Congress spoke person Rajeev Gowda claims that, they (BJP) dropped Mr. B S Yediyurappa the most popular leader which is going to hit them back from Lingayat community. He said BJP is practicing divisive politics, hijab row, Halal row and azan loudspeaker row as well.

The controversy over the CM post rose after the Siddaramaiah’s followers announced a month-long programme in his honour called Siddaramotsava. Which is seen as an attempt to send a message to the party high command, ahead of polls.

Polls are going to be held in Karnataka next year and congress is preparing for the elections fight, to grab on the power from the hands of BJP.
