Former Congress president and MP Rahul Gandhi was seen partying with some of his friends in Kathmandu. The video went viral on Tuesday after users, including social media users, took the opportunity to attack Congress and Gandhi’s family. Some of them alleged that he was partying with a Chinese diplomat in Kathmandu.
That new video shows RaGa and a friend at a dark nightclub, where people are dancing to loud music in the background.
BJP ruthlessly hammered the Congress MP over his appearance at the club
Vijay Sai Reddy V, Member of Parliament, on Twitter: “The video of @RahulGandhi partying in a Nepal night club with Chinese diplomats is disturbing as China’s honey traps are rising.” Hou Yanqi, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, was also spotted with him. Congress unnecessarily questions Narendra Modi Ji’s Europe trip while its own leader does this! “
Rahul Gandhi was at a nightclub when Mumbai was under siege. He is at a nightclub at a time when his party is exploding. He is consistent, “BJP leader and BJP IT head Amit Malviya tweeted.
Shehzad Poonawala, a BJP spokesperson tweeted, “PM Modi visited Pashupatinath in Nepal. Rahul visits a pub in Nepal. ” He said Gandhi preferred pubs to people and prayers. “That’s OK. He can have his choices. Ram Sanskar vs Rome Sanskar. ” RaGa
Surjewala took charge of defending RaGa.
Congress leader and general secretary Randeep Surjewala told the media that RaGa was attending a friend’s wedding in Kathmandu. But many people on social media, including BJP leaders, were not sure who the woman in the viral video was. They said that she was a Chinese diplomat named Hou Yanqi, who was in the news a lot when KP Sharma Oli was Prime Minister.
As the BJP leaders started the controversy by sharing the video on social media, many congress leaders started defending him from the troll.
Rahul Gandhi is in Kathmandu to attend the wedding of his friend. He is on a personal visit there. Why are they [BJP] not answering the questions related to the power crisis, inflation but they have all the time in the world for Rahul Gandhi,” Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala said.
“Last, when I checked to have a family in this country, attending marriage and engagement ceremonies is a matter of our culture and civilisation. It has still not become a crime in this country to be married, to befriend someone or to attend their marriage celebration,” added further.
Till now, there is no confirmation of the identity of the women and the reason for his visits.
