There has been a spike in coronavirus active cases on Wednesday. The active cases in Delhi are increasing rapidly which is causing people to panic. With more than 1,118 cases reported on Tuesday, Delhi has the highest count of active COVID-19 cases. According to the health bulletin issued by the Delhi government, 2 people died of the infection. The positivity rate has dropped from 7.06% to 6.50 on Tuesday.
Mumbai also had an increase in active cases. 1,724 fresh coronavirus cases have been reported in Mumbai. There have been 2 fatalities too. The total tally of COVID-19 has climbed up to 10,83,589 and the death toll to 19,575. there have been more than 5 cases reported of omicron variant in Maharashtra.
 More coronavirus cases across India
There seems to be a rise in coronavirus active cases again across India with the schools opening and all going back to normal life. There have been more and more cases reported in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Ladakh, Haryana, and many other states. But there is a little relief as the recovery rate of India now is 98.66%. The daily positivity rate is 2 percent. The weekly positivity rate is 2.35 percent.
There have been more than 500 active COVID-19 cases in Karnataka on Tuesday. The total tally of cases in Karnataka is more than 500,000. Now there are more than 3,882 active cases in the state. 3,738 of these cases are from the capital city. The positivity rate of the state is now 3.14 percent. All the states have a significant amount of active coronavirus cases.
We should be cautious as there seems to be a sudden rise which is not a good sign. We should take good care and sanitize our surroundings and always keep ourselves aware of everything happening around us. The government is taking serious steps and precautions to control the increase in the number of coronavirus active cases.
