Deepika Padukone yet again came under the ‘TIME’ magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most powerful individuals. Deepika Padukone is the first Indian actress to be recognized by Time Magazine twice. “TIME’s annual list of the world’s most influential people is a designation of individuals whose time, in our estimation, is now,” according to the magazine.

Deepika attended the Time 100 Awards for the second time. “A couple of years, a lot more work and a little more confidence,” Deepika said when asked what’s different this time around.
Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood actress, has given some of the best performances of her career, for which she has received critical and commercial acclaim. The leading lady has also spoken out on de–stigmatizing mental health issues and raising awareness about the issue.

Deepika Padukone, a TIME100 Impact Awardee for 2022, joined the list of world leaders that included scientists and CEOs, artists and activists, pop stars and politicians, who have done extraordinary work to shape the future of their industries and the world at large through sustained effort.
In 2018, the superstar was under TIME’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people. She is now the only Indian actress on the list, which also includes Gal Gadot, Nicole Kidman, and Greta Gerwig.
While accepting the prize, the actor, producer, and philanthropist wore a saree. She finished the outfit with smooth pulled–back hair and modest jewellery.
Vin Diesel, Deepika Padukone’s co–star in the film, ‘xXx’: Return of Xander Cage, wrote about Deepika, saying, he realised he was in the company of someone really exceptional when Deepika Padukone walked in to read for one of the Fast and Furious films. There was a sense of synchronization, synergy, and chemistry as soon as she walked into the room, which hinted at great things to come. Although her schedule didn’t allow for that film, He never gave up.
In xXx:Return of Xander Cage, she was the first character they cast. ‘I want to do this movie, but if I do, you have to come to India,’ she said. Vin added, “Thank God I made that deal.”
He further continued by saying that so often in the entertainment industry they deal in stereotypes, and people get stuck in certain markets. Deepika is the best Earth has to offer. She is not just here to represent India; she’s here to represent the world.
Deepika also informed her social media fans of the news, posting a photo of herself with the message, “what an absolute honour! #TIME100”. Priyanka Chopra was featured on this list in 2016.
This year’s list includes Gal Gadot of Wonder Women, Nicole Kidman, Prince Harry, his fiancee Meghan Markle, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, North Korean leader Kim Jong–Un, Ireland’s Prime Minister Leo Varadkar, who is the openly gay son of an Indian immigrant, Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina, singer Rihanna and Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina.
Priyanka Chopra, an Indian actress, wrote Markle’s profile and described her as an important influencer. She continued to say, in a world that needs strong public figures to admire and look up to, she is a significant influencer. Others who can inspire people all across the world. Meghan will be a princess for the people, standing shoulder to shoulder with Harry.
According to TIME, a record 45 persons on this list are under the age of 40, including Millie Bobby Brown, the 14–year–old ‘Stranger Things’ actor.
