New Delhi:- A Rs 75,800-crore “Rozgaar Budget” for 2022-23 was presented by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday with a major focus on job creation and markets to boost the economic growth.
Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that ‘Delhi’s Rozgar Budget’ aims to address the twin problems of price rise and unemployment, adding that it wasn’t just an electoral promise and the CM also said that the budget has taken care of every section of Delhi.
Rs 69,000 crore was the budget size for the financial year 2021-22.
The budget size for 2022-23 is 9.86 per cent higher than the previous year. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) presented before the session the eight consecutive budget.
Mr Sisodia said the 2022-23 budget is a “Rozgaar Budget” and further he also said that the per capita income of Delhi is 2.7 per cent higher than the national average and the Delhi Government has come up with schemes that will provide jobs, food, and increased opportunities in business to those who have lost their livelihoods during the COVID-19 pandemic with the announcement of 20 lakh jobs in 5 years in certain job sectors.
He said that “Now, I want to present the important section of our ‘Rozgar Budget’ containing 20 lakh new jobs. In this, I will put plans to take the economy of Delhi on the path of progress and generate lakhs of employment opportunities out of this progress.”
