Release Yamuna water in Yamuna: The nation’s capital, New Delhi has been facing water crises due to the heat waves along with extreme rise in temperature.
The decrease in the water level of river Yamuna has affected more than 50 areas of Delhi. It includes Karol Bagh, New\Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi Gate among fifty others according to the Delhi Jal Board. Â
The Delhi Jal Board has also given out alerts for future anticipated water shortages in numerous parts of Delhi. Â

The Chief Minister of Delhi has made his appeal to the Government of Haryana to release their share of additional water in the Yamuna River. “We should not go into the legalities… that Delhi’s share is this much and Haryana is releasing this much…Delhi faces a water shortage and I appeal to the Haryana government to release additional water in the Yamuna on humanitarian grounds,” Kejriwal told reporters after meeting the LG.
Arvind Kejriwal has made this request on the foundation of humanitarian grounds. At present we cannot predict when will this issue get resolved, all we can expect is shortage for the coming few days.Â
